Santa Clara County opts against free swine flu vaccines for all school children

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Pharmacy news

Even though state health officials are encouraging California counties to offer free swine flu vaccinations to every student in school, Santa Clara County says it simply doesn’t have the staff to handle a program that vast.

And that could mean parents here will be stuck with co-pays or other fees to protect their children from the pandemic expected to hit hard this fall. St. Louis College of Pharmacy and the Washington University School of Medicine have reached an agreement to swap about 1.2 acres in the Central West End.

Under terms of the deal, the college is acquiring two separate surface parking lots from Washington University. The lots are located on the southwest and northwest corner of Parkview Place and Taylor Avenue. ASCP Research and Education Foundation
